Day 3 - Sept. 14 |

From Dave's

Dan and Dave awoke early to check the weather forecast and to prepare
the boat for our sail to Bora Bora. Winds 15-18 knots early. We followed
the channel around Tahaa to Paipai Pass, exited Paipai Pass about 9 am,
and entered the pass at Bora Bora about 2 pm. We had a downwind sail in
winds varying between 8 and 18 knots. The swells from the SW were at a
slightly different angle from the wind, making it difficult to keep the
sails full. We picked up a mooring at Bloody Mary's and had dinner there
that evening. The chef served us seven different types of fish, salad,
and the local vanilla and coconut ice cream. |
